Sacred Physicality provides a non-denominational and welcoming environment in which you can explore what God or Spirit means to you, and what you would love your spiritual experience to be in this life.
A natural extension and/or complement to our Coaching Services, Spiritual Direction will help you to deepen your spiritual practice, or to develop one.
An Ancient Tradition with a Modern Twist
In the western religious traditions, spiritual direction can be traced back to the Christian Desert Fathers and Mothers, and down through the ages with directing Imams, Priests and other clergy.
In the eastern traditions, Lamas, Gurus and Masters provided direction to young aspirants within the confines of discliple-ship and normally removed from the public world.
And, of course, direction was also available in the nature-based traditions, though this has not been studied and recorded with the same detail.
In contrast to the prescriptive and directive method employed by traditional Directors, modern Spiritual Direction provides a chance for clients to explore their relationship with Divinity and to develop a deeper, more meaningful spiritual practice in the company of a guide. It is much more a Coaching relationship than a Teaching one.
Today's Spiritual Director helps the client to feel the presence of the Divine both within the session and in their daily lives.
We have entered a new paradigm, Caroline Myss calls us 'mystics without monasteries' and it is the unique challenge of our age to develop and nurture a spiritual life while maintaining our worldly life as well.
It is a challenge, for sure, and one that a Spiritual Director can help you to achieve.
